It's ok in OK, okay? - March 26, 2008

P.I.A.S.E has relocated to the midwest and is now based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. However, Scott will still be booking shows and events in Florida and the southeast, so do not hesitate to contact us!

'Back home again, in (Tallahassee)...' - September 26, 2006

To paraphrase the jazz standard about Indiana...

Well, I've been in Tallytown most of the summer, but certainly caught up on 'out-of-town' gigs with Liz and Mike's wedding in Oklahoma and the Miami gigs (see my past calendar dates). All the best to you, Liz and Mike and thank you for your words. Jenn and I are so happy that we were a part of your special day. And, hey, saying 'I do' under swimming sharks? How cool is that?

Jazz night at the Warehouse is still going strong. Thanks to all the newbies and regulars who always support live jazz music. An even bigger thank you to all the talented musicians who sit in week in and week out. You and your musical abilities are greatly appreciated.

As for next month, I have hits in Pensacola, Birmingham, and possibly a couple in Atlanta along with regular hits in Tallytown. I shall keep you posted. Until then, bye for now!!!

Back home, but back out again! - June 19, 2006

Hello to one and all!

Man, I have been SOOOOOO busy! Just got in from Pine Mountain over the weekend (pictures soon to follow) and had a blast! Off to Valdosta, GA tonight for some clinics Tuesday and Wednesday and a concert Wednesday night at Valdosta State. It will be my first time playing a date with trumpeter and Professor Scotty Barnhart. We've crossed paths at the jam session a couple of times, but this concert is where I truly my a** kicked...musically, of course. And don't forget about Leon Anderson and Rodney Jordan, profs at FSU, as well. They, too, will take part in my musical a** kicking. Man, it's gonna be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! See you there!

One last thing... - May 30, 2006

Oh yeah, it was my birthday yesterday, too. Thanks to everyone for the best wishes and gifts, but my birthday suit is at the cleaners. hehehe

Busy, busy, BUSY!!! - May 30, 2006

Greetings, everyone!

I have been SO busy...but that's a very good thing. I'm writing this on the fly before I head back out the door (drove back from Panama City, FL last night and am off to West Palm Beach later this morning). I will update my calendar either on the road or when I return home this weekend. It will include gigs on May 30-June 2, Cabernet on June 3rd, then the jam sessions, Jazztini, even a concert just north of Columbus, GA in Pine Mountain! Thank you to everyone for listening and a huge thanks to my lovely wife, Jennifer for putting up with my absence this week. I love you madly, baby! See you soon!

Great crowds, great month! - February 16, 2006

This month has musically been one of the best I've ever had! The crowds at 'Jazz Night' have been consistently huge and the music, as always, is killin'! Special thanks to the rhythm section and all the horn players who come out every Monday to sit in. Myself and the crowd greatly appreciates you!

The gig in Gainesville with Wycliffe Gordon is the highlight of my month, though. He is truly a top-notch musician and entertainer! Special thanks to Scott Koons and his Gainesville Friends of Jazz patrons. We had a crowd of probably 400-500 on a Tuesday and, man, they were receptive and wonderful listeners. Thanks, again.

Lastly, don't forget about the hit tomorrow night in Madison, FL at NFCC (see the calendar). Three bands paying tribute to Mr. Charles sounds good to me! See you there!

Happy February! - February 1, 2006

Greetings to you all! I hope your first month of 2006 was a very good one. It was pretty good for me. I went home to Canada for a few days in the early part of the month and caught up with my family from Winnipeg and Southern Manitoba (hello again to you all!). Then, it was back home to Tallahassee later in the month for some giggin', as you can see by my calendar. February will be even busier, one of my busiest months ever! Locally, I'll be busy at the Warehouse, Cafe Cabernet, and various private functions while other gigs will take me out-of-town throughout Central Florida. Keep an eye on my calendar for updates and have a great month!

Happy New Year!!! - January 16, 2006

Greetings to you all! Sorry for the delay on updating the site, but once the CD release party came went, me and Jenn gasped a sigh of relief and went on internet hiatus. hehehe. But, after two trips out of town to visit family (hello to the Boggs', Kirkpatricks, Kostynyks, McQuades, and Reynolds'), we are back in Tallahassee ready to make 2006 our best year yet! I'll be making even more great music, pushing the CD more than ever, and gigging more than ever! Look out Tally and the Southeast: McQ and his musical crew are coming at you!

Yep, they are HERE! - September 26, 2005

I came home an hour ago to find ten BIG boxes at my doorstep. "There's (CDs) in them there (boxes)!" hehehe. Man, they look killin', snazzy, hip, tight, you name it, they are IT! Seriously, if you don't buy one, or 52, you are truly missing out. I mean, look at me, I bought 1017 of them!!!

MY CD's ARE HERE!!! - September 26, 2005

I am 99 44/100% sure that my CD's are here! They should be waiting on my doorstep for me (seven boxfuls). I have another three hours here at my new day gig (Leon County Humane Society) and it looks like it is starting to get a bit overcast outside. I hope the rain stays away for the next three hours. Man, this is torturous! hehehe. If they remain dry, my CD's will be available for sale tonight at the Warehouse. So, bring an extra $12 to jazz night!!!

New Dates Added - September 21, 2005

Everyone make sure to check out the calendar section of the website. We have added many new dates for September and October. Hope to see you at some of the gigs!

***CD update***

We are expecting the shipment of CDs to be here by the end of this week!!

Welcome back, Andrew! - September 8, 2005

I just got off the phone with "Double A", "Hurricane" Andrew Altman and he is on his way back to Tallahassee! Andrew was gigging on a Carnival ship out of New Orleans and was recently moved to the coast of Texas due to Hurricane Katrina. He just told me he is on his way back and will be here just in time for my gig on Friday on the University Club and next Monday (check my calendar) where he will be once again take his rightful place as the host of 'Jazz Night' at the Warehouse.

Welcome back, Double A!!!

PLEASE HELP! - September 7, 2005

**PLEASE HELP**
Please take a minute to visit the ASPCA website, www.aspca.org, or the Humane Society of the United States website, www.hsus.org, and donate whatever amount you can spare to the Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief Fund. These two organizations are working hard to help thousands of animals affected by this tragedy. They are providing food, water, and shelter to homeless animals and working to reunite animals with their caretakers. Thank you!
